Post 5: Final Character Designs

This character contrasts with the anatagonist in the story, as he wears bright eye-catching clothes whereas his counterpart wears dull normal everyday clothes. This sparkly top sets the character apart from the rest of the world specifically his wife who's goal is opposite to him, this colour also links to the theme of space. This character is the archetypal outcast as he looks, thinks and does different things compared to the other people in this story and also the viewer, this character also doesn't fit into any particular stereotypical roles as he is designed to be quite different and not an everyday character that can be seen in day to day life. I will construct this character by fashioning a wire armature frame and then coating it with modelling clay to create the min body, I will then use sparkly craft paper to create the shirt by wrapping it around his body.

This character contrasts with the protagonist visually as her clothes are dull and boring whereas the protagonist wears an outfit that stands out much more. This character fits into the archetypal villain as her intentions are in direct opposition to her husbands so is seen as selfish, but at the same time the viewer will feel some empathy towards her as her husband has moved as far away as possible from her with no regard for her feelings. She is the stereotypical woman as she prefers to stay at home than go out, to clean etc. she is also seen to nag her husband to do things that he doesn't want to. I will construct this model in the same way as the first one, I will use wire to create an armature skellington and then attach modelling clay to the frame to make her features.
