Post 2: Outline of Narrative Structure & Scene by Scene Breakdown

Scene	What the audience will see	What is being set up in the story	Emotional response
1	A man is singing on a stage, a large audience is cheering in front jumping etc.	The man on stage is the main character whose story in the video is going to be related to the lyrics.	They will feel intrigued as to what the man will do next.
2	The man Is in a car driving away from his home and family they are seen behind him as he drives away.	It is his first step in leaving everyone and everything behind. It will lead to him to leaving the planet and finally being happy.	The audience will feel sadness at this point as he has left his loved ones behind.
3	The man is still singing as the lyrics “So thin I get high” the man begins to float in the air off of the stage as he looks up to the sky ignoring the audience.	It shows that the Man singing feels apart from the other people and also the world.	I want the audience to feel in awe of the effects and as the audience would if a man began to float.
4	Starting at “I can see our house from here” a white flash will blind the audience then the man will be seen in his car it will start to take off of the ground up into the air and then into space.	Links to “the first man in space” and shows how the man is different to everyone else he feels like he doesn’t belong on earth.	The audience will realise that the man is separate from everyone else but he is happy about it, this is also conveyed through the upbeat music that will also appeal to the target audience.
5	The background is black with the floating man in the frame with the earth in front of him however the earth is only as big as the palm of his hand, he continues to sing the song as he juggles the planet
6	The planet then changes in to a red ball which he then throws at the camera.	It shows that he has disregarded the world and is happy by himself.	The audience will now feel happy for him as he is content with his new position.
7	The camera is covered in the ball which has turned into a slime like substance, he wipes it off he is now out of focus for a second while the camera re-focuses.	The earth has been completely disregarded and thrown away showing again that he has moved on.
